50th Annual Luminaria

Luminaria is a cherished annual holiday event that brings joy to our community. During Light Up Night, both residents and businesses come together to adorn our streets and sidewalks with welcoming luminaries, illuminating the night and heralding the festive season!

How do I Buy a Luminaria Kit?

Purchase your Luminaria kit online Here! until November 15th.  

There will be a limited supply of kits available for sale at Lookout Joe and Keepsake Photography after November 16, located in the Square, while supplies last.  Cash (exact change required) or check made payable to MLCC are accepted. At the time of purchase, you will be asked to complete a short form so that we can keep track of all orders. 

Each kit includes: 

• 24 white paper bags
• 24 votive candles
• Sand
• Luminaria Program Book with holiday greetings from local businesses and family activities

LIGHT UP NIGHT

December 7, 2025

6pm-8pm in Mt. Lookout square

Luminaria in Mt. Lookout honors the winter season and the various holidays it encompasses. We invite you to enjoy Light Up Night with your family and friends and discover the charms of the neighborhood.

Join us for cookies, snacks, hot chocolate and entertainment in the Square!  We may even have a visit from Santa!  

After you’ve had your fill, step onto an old-fashioned trolley and enjoy the holiday lights. 

Luminaria is Your community council’s ONLY fundraiser!  The Mt. Lookout Community Council is a non-profit organization. Proceeds from Luminaria kit sales are directly reinvested into your neighborhood, including beautification and maintenance of Mt. Lookout Square, including landscaping, seasonal flowerpots, and holiday lights, as well as the Mt. Lookout Fall Festival, Ault Park Fireworks and more. Additionally, the MLCC serves as your liaison between Mt. Lookout and City Hall, so having a strong community is key to making our voices heard.
